Lots to see. Lots to do.
The Edinburg Scenic Wetlands and World Birding Center is a great place to get up close looks at South Texas nature. Some of our unique visitors include the Green Kingfisher, the Ringed Kingfisher, Least Grebe, the Gulf Fritillary, the Guava Skipper and many more. To download our checklist or see our most recent sightings, visit our Wildlife Page.
One of the other special attractions of the site is our extensive butterfly gardens and native habitat. We invite you to walk our native plant trail to learn more about the diverse flora of the Valley.
Before arriving at the Wetlands, make sure you explore what we offer our visitors. If you are interested in an educational program or tour, visit our Nature Programs page or our Youth and School Group Programs.
We hope you enjoy your visit and we look forward to seeing you on your next trip out!
