![]() | About the garden: Envisioned as a way to help citizens of our community live healthier lives, the Edinburg Community Garden was established in the Fall of 2008, by the management of the Edinburg World Birding Center (EWBC). Its purpose is to provide people from all walks of life, of all ages, physical abilities and socio-economic groups with a safe, family-oriented location to learn and practice all aspects of organic gardening. Open for two growing seasons, fall and spring, this garden gives locals the tools to grow healthy, organic vegetables and flowering plants close to home. To further educate the public, our "Landscape" program series offers guidance on a variety of gardening matters. As part of our commitment to conservation and promoting sustainable lifestyles, we offer this garden as a tool for the community to explore alternative food sources. |
